Recycling is becoming increasingly important. What has been the norm for a long time in industrialized countries, is now on the agenda in almost every country of the world.
However, there are still big differences in the quality of the collection systems. In some countries the raw material glass is collected and sorted by color, but sometimes it is also collected completely mixed. The proportions of foreign substances (metals, ceramics, waste in general, etc.) also differ from country to country.
Post-consumer glass recycling plants typically include conveying, crushing, screening, and sorting technology (for example CSP, all-metal separation, color sorting).
Due to the variety of possible applications, recycling plants are always planned and built on a customer or project-specific basis.

Markus Werner has started working for Zippe in 2019. Zippe is a global company that designs, plans, builds, purchases needed equipment and installs/ commissions batch plants. The constantly growing demand for recycling capacities and the reduction of energy consumption caused Zippe to orientate itself towards these technologies many years ago. In the meantime, Zippe has designed and built over 30 recycling plants for customers in the last few decades.
Markus Werner graduated as a state-certified mechanical engineering technician and works in technical sales department at Zippe. He is specialized in the field of the recycling technology. This includes the recycling of different qualities of post consumer glass. The largest markets for Zippe are container and flat glass. Markus Werner is responsible for advising customers as well as for the initial planning and calculation of the recycling systems.
